A message from one of our clients...
Richard has been working with us for just over 6 years now and has become an integral part of the family.
Richard supports my son who has a mild-moderate learning difficulty and has difficulty building social relationships and becomes highly anxious in un-familiar situations.
Richard has been able to build a friendship with my son who has learned he can trust and support him when we are not around.
Our son is able to call Richard out of working hours (by agreement) and Richard provides a bespoke Respite service, whereby he takes the opportunity to promote independent living skills with our son.
Richard arranges days out and activities as required that are either on a 1-1 basis or a group basis. Our son has gone from strength to strength in terms of communication and now being able to stay home alone at times without becoming anxious.
Travel training has become part of the plan recently, along with PA Gardening Club, whereby our son is leading on the growing of fruit and vegetables.
Skills such as gardening and weeding are meaning that funds can be put towards the cost of buying items for the gardening side, which is proving very popular with our son.
Our son is now much more confident and plays a key role himself in supporting Richard within a day setting at Longton, which he enjoys very much being part of a small team now. So much so that he now supports another service user in travel training and getting to the Hub at Longton.
Richard involves all of the families at least one a year whether it be special birthdays or Christmas parties where no-one feels left out and is very much an “inclusive” service.
Without Richard adult life and transition into the adult world would have been very different for him and we are so thrilled with his outcomes.
We are hoping that in the “not so distant future” our son will be living independently and Richard has played a significant part of that role in the last few years.
Anyone who employs Richard as a PA/Befriending Service will not be disappointed with his drive and enthusiasm. He is passionate about this work and this shows through the young adults he works with.
I do not want to think of a day when Richard will not be supporting him as he has now become part of our family and extended family.
Thank you Richard!

Another message from one of our clients...
I have offered to write this reference on behalf of Creative PA Support Services (The Hub). My son Bailey who is 19 has been going to the support group for four months now and the difference in his self-confidence has improved enormously in this time, and he has completely come out of his shell. He is so excited to attend each week and can’t wait to go back when he has time off. The support and encouragement that the staff and fellow users give him is absolutely fantastic and second to none. I have joined them on several activities such as parties and the fun and enjoyment both staff users and their families have had is fantastic to see.
I highly recommend anyone going to Creative PA Support Services, the positive impact its had on my son is unbelievable and for me knowing he’s in good hands, well cared for is an added bonus.
